i'm blown away by nina's look...the men's shirt with that scalloped edged skirt is fantastic. such great details.
Great post, great photos, great style on great people.
My favourite is the less "fashiony" pic: the last one. I love his expression, and I'm a nostalgic of the times when photographies were a surprise, when you had to wait to develop them to see the results, I miss that sound of the roll in the camera, although because of my age I'm more from a "digital cameras generation"...I use digital now, but still keep an analogue one and bought a Lomo camera recently...I think analogue will still be there for a long time, maybe in a more "marginal" way, but still there anyways.
The best day of my life have been when Bill has shot me :-)
beautiful colours on the second photo. She looks so full of life without being visually unpleasant.
your friend is adorable
i'm a fashion student and was volunteering at a show in the tents and spotted bill cunningham. sadly, i tried to talk to BC the other day to tell him how much i admired his work (he was shooting the tv screens in the lobby during the carolina herrera show, and the show just ended) he put his hand in my face, quickly packed up his camera and walked away. sigh...now i can never look at the times style section again without thinking about how quickly i was disguarded.
nina looks amazing
to the fashion student,
I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with Bill.
I've been treated in a similar manner by people too and it hurts.
But you know what, you've got to continue believing in yourself and leave the past in the past. Tomorrow is a new day and another opportunity. You never know, maybe Bill's lens went bad, maybe his camera shutter died, maybe he ran out of film, maybe the lighting was poor...
All photos are fantastic!!!!!
Brilliant pictures, really!! Nina looks absolutely gorgeous, love the colours in the second one and Bill Cunningham's picture is funny ^-^ So sad to hear about the fashion student's experience with him though, I guess people aren't always nice. oh well :)
I'm glad there are still film cameras at work out there! Too bad about the fashion student's experience. :(
love your fashion week coverage!
sorry to disappear for so long! just wanted to re-appear and re-state my love for your photos
