I had a pair of shorts just like those growing up, their story was tragic: I inherited them from my cousin who is 10 years older than me, and since they were so oversized, they were my favorite to snuggle with my blanket and watch TV in. They were loyal and never disappointed. Then, one day, my mom was in need of some rags and lo and behold, my shorts died a horrible death in the hands of very sharp kitchen scissors. That is why I will always call them my sad shorts.
